This Dread Kit Is for 10 Accent Dreads. Accent Dreads are Great To create your own kit, or to add some flair to an existing Kit.
We sell all of our accent dreads in packs of ten, that's the minimum.
To Create Your 10 Accents...
You Must Select the Type.
(SE)Single-Ended dread: A single ended dread is one dread with a loop at the top. These dreads are the dreads most commonly used in falls, but they are also sold loose for installation.
(DE) Double Ended dread: DE is like two dreads that are connected at the top, or like one long dread that has been folded over. When the DE is installed it will look like two dreads. These are very good for hiding your installation method, and making for a full thick head of dreads.
The Length.
Short (5-7 inches) Chin
Medium (10-14 inches) Shoulders.
Long (20-22 inches) Lower Back.
X-Long (23-26 inches) Bum.
The Style.
Regular One Color: A Regular, One Colored Dread.
Blend- Two Colors Blended Together in One Dread.
Transitional- One color that Swirls/Blends into a Second Color Halfway to the bottom.
CandyCane: To colors Swirled together (like a candycane)
Harlequin: Applies to DEs only. A dread that is two different colors on either side, each dread is a different color, and the two colors meet at the top-center of the dread.
The Width:
Regular: Regular width. Just larger than the diameter of a pencil.
Thin: Half the width of a regular dread.
Chunky: Double the width of a regular dread. Think sharpie size.
The Main Color and the Accent Color:
The main color is the main (and sometimes only color) in the dread. The Second color only applies if you are choosing blends, transitionals, harlequins, or candycanes. If the type you are purchasing is not one of those three types, please just select 'None'. In the case of Transitionals, the main color chosen will be the color used at the top of the dread.
We now also offer the choice to have your DE Dreads in the Center or
not! After quite a few different requests, we figured we'd add this
feature so you may choose what you prefer.
DE with Dreaded Center: This means the DE is dreaded entirely. This
makes the dread More Durable, but it Braids in Thicker at the top,
installation method is more visible, and it is tougher to make dreads
lie flat. Best if you intend to wear the dreads multiple times.
DE
with Un-Dreaded Center: This means the DE tops being dreaded at the top
'Loop'. This makes the dread less durable, and they tend to loosen over
time. The dread braids in thinner at the top, and if matched to your
own hair color, appears much less visible. dreads Lie flat. Because the
centers aren't dreaded, this takes less time and can be cheaper. Good
for one or two time use.
These Kits are Custom Made. They are subject to the processing time posted on the Order Status Page. Once you have made your order, within 24 hours it will appear on the Order Status Page for you to keep up on the progress of its completion.
